Lip Blushing
Lip Blush Tattoo Scottsdale - The lip blush application is the most natural looking lip procedure, outlining your lips and highlighting the ridge and shape of your natural lips. This treatment is for clients who want lips with more color and definition that also maintain a natural appearance.
How the Treatment is Done
Before the main procedure starts, you will come to Karyn's office so she can outline the shape of your lips. This is important so she can refer to the actual shape of your lips after you are numbed. When you approve the shape you will go from her office to a nearby dentist who will administer a numbing block. After that you will come back to Karyn's office so she can start the application, this process is called Full Lips Prep. When you are back in Karyn's office you will find a color, you may want to bring some of your favorite lip products for reference so Karyn can mix your custom shade. First your liner will be tattooed then the rest of the lips filled in. When she is finished you will be able to look at your lips and adjust or approve them. Keep in mind, at this time and for a few days after the procedure, your lip color will look darker than it will be when it heals. Once you approve Karyn will apply A&D ointment and give you post care supplies.
Aftercare
After the treatment Karyn will give you a bag containing A&D ointment and Q-tips. In the evening after your appointment and every morning and night for the next seven days, use lukewarm water to rinse your lips then pat dry and apply the A&D ointment with a Q-tip. Over the 7 days following your appointment you should apply A&D ointment every hour to ensure your lips don't dry out, this is important to retain as much color as possible. For the next 48 hours after the appointment you must avoid swimming, exercising, and stay out of the sun as much as possible. To reduce swelling it helps to prop your head up while you sleep. Following these instructions will help your lips heal properly for the best outcome.
Touch-Ups
After 2-3 years of the lip blushing procedure your lips may be faded, if this is the case you can always come in for a touch up. During this appointment Karyn will trace over your previous application and tattoo over it to freshen up the color and shape. If there are any changes to color or shape you want to make this time around you can discuss them with Karyn so she can apply them. Keep in mind that before this procedure you will go through the same numbing process you did before the original application, 30 extra minutes is required for numbing.
Follow-Ups
After 30 days of your treatment, you are healed enough to know whether you want to improve anything about your lip blush tattoo. If so, you can come in for the next 30 days, or within 60 days of your original treatment to discuss with Karyn what you would like to modify so she can draw it on and tattoo it once you approve.

Lip Liner
Permanent Lip Liner brings definition and color to the natural ridge of your lip. This application is for clients who want to highlight the shape of their lips without needing to apply lip liner.
How the Treatment is Done
Before the scheduled application, you will first come to Karyn's office to begin the Full Lips Prep. She will start by outlining and perfecting your lips then you can critique the shape. This is important for after you are numbed so she can refer to the actual shape of your lips. After you have approved the shape you will go to a nearby dentist who will administer a numbing block, then you will come back to Karyn's office so she can start the treatment. To find a color, you may want to bring in some of your favorite lip products so Karyn can mix your perfect shade. To start, a thin line is carefully tattooed along the ridge of your lips, from there you can decide how thick or thin you want the lip liner to be. Once the liner is finished you can view your lips to see wether you would like to tweak anything. Keep in mind, after the application and for a few days after the procedure, your liner will look darker than it will heal to be. When you approve, Karyn will apply A&D ointment and give you post care supplies.
After Care
When the treatment is finished you will receive a bag containing A&D ointment and Q-tips. On the night of your appointment and every morning and evening for the following week, rinse your lips with lukewarm water then pat dry and use a Q-tip to apply the A&D ointment. For 7 days following your appointment you should apply A&D ointment every hour to keep your lips from drying out, this helps your lips retain more color. For the next 48 hours stay out of the sun as much as possible, also avoid swimming and exercising. It is recommended to prop up your head while you sleep to reduce swelling.
